A HANDY LITTLE SPELLBOOK

Your pocket guide.

Getting around

Arrow keys or A/D move. Space or ↑ jumps; short taps hop, holds jump higher. S or ↓ ducks, or drops through a platform. Hold a direction on the touch controls to keep moving.

A little magic

Collect the crystal orb to power your spells. E or F casts at the nearest enemy ahead of your staff. Shift or Q slides; in the ice worlds it becomes a dash. Stomps and well-timed dashes punish a recovering boss.

Five main worlds

Collect XP to open the early portals. Later worlds add bosses, charged orbs and runes. Watch for warning signs: the collapsing void takes the ground behind you. Keep moving toward safe ground.

Portal puzzles

Binary switches, logic gates, code tracing, bubble sort and bug hunting guard the portals. You get three tries. A first-try answer earns one life; after three misses, the answer is revealed and the quest continues.

A chapter beyond

Finish the main trail to explore the Unstable Tower, Clockwork Ruins and Mirror Realm. Complete all three to reach the flying bonus: jump to flap, cast to attack, and earn 300 XP to finish.

Make yourself at home

P or Escape pauses, including during puzzles. The quest pauses when you switch tabs. Start fresh begins again at world one. Completed-run XP, wins and best trail time stay in this browser; clearing site data clears those records.
